Teacher Thrown Into Prison For Flogging Student In Lagos

Secondary school teacher thrown into prison for flogging student till she bled in Lagos [PHOTO]

A secondary school teacher, Sunday Adeshina, has been thrown into Kirikiri prison in Lagos State after he reportedly flogged a female student until she started bleeding.

Adeshina was said to have flogged a 14-year-old SS3 student identified as Onyinye Nwakaeme, on the head when she could not give a correct answer to questions he asked her during a class.

Onyinye, a student of Great Esteem Private Secondary School in Ijeshatedo area of Lagos state told newsmen, “We were taking Economics class that day and I was busy copying note. I had just returned from my father’s burial. Being behind schedule, I used every available time to copy my notes because I had a lot to write.

“The teacher saw me and called me out with some people, claiming that we were making noise and asked us to explain what he had been teaching. I didn’t get the question right because I was really not paying attention to him. Out of anger, he started flogging me.

“He flogged me to the point that I was bleeding on my head and he didn’t stop. Even when the proprietor asked him to stop, he was fierce and wanted to flog me more.”

The student was said to have returned to the school the next day with her siblings who wanted to find out the true state of things in the school, but did not find Adeshina.

The girl’s family reported the case at Ago police station for necessary actions to be taken since the teacher could not be located all day.

Onyinye added, “I got home and reported to my parents about the inhumane treatment he gave me in the school and some of my older siblings went to school with me to address the issue. On getting there, he was absent from the school till the day was over.

“We decided to report at Ago police station to take necessary measures and arrest him because the school was unapologetic. They spoke rudely to my family and asked us to go to any length whatsoever to fight them.”

The school management reportedly suspended the student indefinitely, after the incident, a decision which the family is yet to come to terms with.

The girl’s family have demanded a reinstatement of the girl but the school owner, Pastor Rotimi Olu Joseph, has vehemently opposed it, claiming that Onyinye’s family stormed the school premises with thugs.

According to him, “We gave the girl suspension because it shows that she is not fit to be in the same environment with us. If they can take laws into their hands, then their ward has no place in the school.

“Except they write to the school that she will be of good conduct, she will not be reinstated.”

Adeshina, while reacting to the allegations refused to accept the blame but rather insisted that it remains his obligation as a teacher to correct erring students by beating or punishing them.

The teacher was charged to court for assault and was granted bail in the sum of N70,000.

He was transferred to Kirikiri prisons pending the time he would meet up with his bail conditions.

Eiye Cult Leader Killed In Ipaja Cultism Clash

There was pandemonium in Abesan Federal Housing Estate, Ipaja in the Alimosho axis of Lagos yesterday, Tuesday, October 25, 2016, after suspected cultists wreaked havoc in the area. During the attack, a man identified simply as Bebo, was butchered in cold blood leading to his death on the spot.

Presently, shops in the area are currently locked for fear of a reprisal attack in the community.
InsideMainland gathered from a source that residents were thrown into confusion when the cultists stormed the area on motorcycles. The gang we learnt had been on the trail of Bebo before he was cornered at the spot where he was murdered.

The source who craved anonymity disclosed that “he is popularly known as Bebo in the area. He visited a pharmacy to get drugs before he was hit unaware. The guys who attacked him outnumbered him and he couldn’t escape the scene.”

InsideMainland gathered that Bebo was formerly a student of the University of Lagos before he dropped out. Our source revealed that “He is feared in the area because he is a member of the Eiye Confraternity. He was the second in command while at Unilag and also held the same position in Abesan before he was killed yesterday night.” Photo of a much younger Bebo Another resident who spoke on condition of anonymity said that “he was killed at Greenland Bus stop after stepping out of the drug store. The cultists blocked him while he tried to run and immediately took turns in inflicting cuts on him before he died.” When asked if security operatives have visited the scene, the source told InsideMainland that “Police officers were around yesterday after the incident but no arrests were made. Presently, the area is deserted and there is no security presence.”

Senate Suspends JAMB 3-Year Validity Plan

The Senate on Wednesday said it has suspended the amendment of the Act establishing the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) in order to allow for adequate consultation with stakeholders.

The red chamber had approved the extension of the validity of the results of the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) being conducted by JAMB to three years.

The decision, the senate had said, was granted to reduce the financial burden of the examination on parents, students and JAMB.

Chairman, Senate Committee on Education (Basic and Secondary), Senator Aliyu Wamakko, confirmed the suspension to reporters during an oversight visit to the headquarters of JAMB in Abuja.

Wamakko, who was represented by Senator Ajayi Boroffice, stated that the senate would not make any laws that would impede on the progress of any institution.

He said: “Your JAMB result is only valid for one year and we thought it will be better for it to be valid at least for three years. It will reduce the burden on the parents, on the students themselves even on the institution that is conducting the test. I think it is what is good for all of us and I don’t think the public will reject it.

“As I said we don’t make laws for an individual or for the senate. We make law for the country in the interest of all of us. A bill must not necessarily be at the convenience of a particular organization, having said that, since we don’t want to make a law that will impede the progress of any institution we are bound to listen to what they are saying. We are bound to listen to them.”

Responding, JAMB Registrar, Is-haq Oloyede, said he was happy the senate listened to its appeal to suspend the amendment of its Act.

EPISODE 2
*******FLASH BACK******************* Throughout my first year in the university, I never had any girlfriend and still a virgin. I was so shy and timid that I don't have the nerves to approach any girl. My friends helped me with scripts and manuals on how to approach a lady but I keep failing at every attempt. I maintained my single life style throughout my 100level days. On the day economics department was to have their dinner, Bayo my neighbour who was the departmental social director told me to attend it and have fun.
ME: Bayo, u know I don't like parties?
BAYO :"Guy, no dey dull yourself"
ME: Hope there won't be any violence?
BAYO: "Violence as how?"
ME: I heard cultist always seize the medium to initiate people into fraternity.
BAYO: u dey talk because you never attend any dinner before. Guy flex jaree.

ME: but I don't have a ticket, how do I enter
BAYO: sebi na me be social director, I go carry you inside. 8pm, I took a cab and went to the event hall and waited at the entrance as instructed by bayo. Minutes later, different girls were flowing inside the hall in a mini-skirts and dinner gowns revealing their front and back assets. Few girls that I knew among them who were not cute in the day-time appeared to be prettier and sexier at night. I was carried away by the things I was seeing and I decided to position a plastic chair very close to the entrance of the hall to have more better views.  At 9pm, the crowd had increased, smokes of cigarette and weed were all over everywhere that I began to choke. I was marvelled on seeing some group of ladies smoking. ladies were sitting on guys lap and smooching at every corner.  At few minutes to 10pm, Bayo arrived in a departmental bus along side with other excos. Everyone in the hall were told to move out and line up. Bayo and other excos was at the entrances of the hall checking people's tickets before allowing them to enter with the help of the cadets and man-o-war group. people who had no ticket was restricted from entering. After the whole screening exercise, I called bayo and he came to meet me where I was and I followed him inside the hall.  At 12am, the whole place was noisy, girls were dancing and tweaking at every corner with random guys. I could hear moans in the darkest parts behind the auditorium. Smokes were all over, music was at the loudest volume. I just sat down somewhere eating my rice and sipping coke. I have no one to dance with. Bayo was dancing with a fair lady at one corner and our eyes met. He felt disappointed on seeing me sitting alone and he came over to where I was.
BAYO: guy, why you dey dull yourself now, find one babe and dance with na.
ME: I no get anyone to dance with, and you know say I dey shy.

Before I knew it, labake stood up and started twerking infront me and shaking her killer as$ infront of me, I took the courage not to spoil the show and I stood up and danced with her.

LADY THEIF: **points gun at my head** ogbeni, look up and see the death on your head. If you don't tell me where the package is, I will blast your head to pieces.
ME: I passed another hot urine again. This time, the voice was getting more familiar, I manage to look up at the lady thief. "Whaaattttt!. It was labake, my Ex-girl friend of 3years at the university.".  Our eyes met. She was marvelled and I was amazed, I wanted to call her name. As I opened my mouth to talk, labake landed a heavy slap on my face "gbosaaaa". I fell flat on the floor,
LABAKE: guys let's go, there is nothing like what we are looking for in this room.

JUST IN: MMM Reportedly Crashes In Lagos [Read Full Details]

It has been tears and more tears all morning in Lagos State after news began to filter in that rave Ponzi Scheme, MMM, has crashed in Nigeria, resulting in massive losses for its many members. While details of the crash are still sketchy,
it will be noted that only recently, the Zimbabwean and South African chapters of the MMM franchise also recently packed up, resulting in disbelief, shock and even suicide of some members who lost their life savings to the Ponzi Scheme. These events had led many to plead with involved Nigerians to “get out while they could”, a plea which fell on deaf ears. Our source can confirm that the MMM shut down equates to a mind-boggling loss of over $100million (which will not convert to Naira for the sake of our collective cardiac safety), money which gullible Nigerians had ‘invested’ in the scheme, hoping for 30% returns. Our correspondent headed to Victoria Island to ascertain the reality of the crash and was met with shocking images of men and women weeping on the streets, lamenting how they lost everything. Of particular note was a young man, Ufot Edidiong, who was rolling on the road, while passers-by tried to console him.

Reason: It is said he invested N200, 000 he was supposed to spend on his upcoming wedding just Last Wednesday, only for MMM to crash today.”My own don finish” he wept “mbok wedin I go tell Ememobong? Say I don Spain dey money for dey werring for aim-aim-aim and e don doss (loss)? Abasi!

Kanye West Officially Drops D’Banj From G.O.O.D Music

After much speculation about Nigerian singer, D’banj’s status in Kanye West’s G.O.O.D music label, it has finally been confirmed that the kokomaster is no longer a member.
GOOD music recently released an updated list (below) of its members on their official twitter page and D’Banj’s name was missing.
Just a day earlier, the ‘Oliver Twist’ star was still included on the list that was shared online when the label announced it has signed rappers Tyga and Migos.

D’banj was signed to GOOD music in 2011 and throughout his time with the label, he failed to release an album.
He was only featured in the label’s compilation album Cruel Summer in 2012 and also made a cameo in Kanye’s Mercy.

BREAKING!!! Rapper Olamide Set To Release 6th Studio Album In December

Olamide is set to release his sixth solo studio album in December….
The Nigerian rapper who has released released a studio album every year since his debut in 2011, is working on maintaining his figures and keeping his momentum going, by dropping a studio album in 2016.
The new album will be released in December, as songs on the album have already been recorded. It will feature hit song ‘Who you epp’, along with other singles. No official title, artwork, and tracklist has been released.
This will be Olamide’s 7 album. In 2011, he launched his career with “Rapsodi”, and went further to release a string of albums every year including “YBNL” (2012), “Baddest Guy Ever Liveth” (2013), “Street OT” (2014), “2 Kings” (joint album with Phyno, 2015), and “Eyan Mayweather” (2015).

It is currently still promoting Adekunle Gold’s “Gold” album. He has also began work on another of his signed rappers, Chinko Ekun, who is releasing singles.
Olamide recently said he will never pay money to have an international collaboration.
Speaking with HipTV, the ‘Shakiti bobo’ rapper made it quite clear that he won’t go down the route of parting away with cash for an international collaboration.
The rapper is of the belief that if he puts in the right amount of work, together with the grace of God, his music will speak for him and take him so far, giving him the deserved international recognition.
He made reference to Fela Kuti who didn’t have to do any international collaboration to penetrate the international market.
“Fela no do any international collaboration before they recognise Fela for international market,” the rapper said.
The ‘baddo’ rapper attributes the street as what makes him tick as an artist “We rep the streets and the street is the majority”, he said.

Well I chased her all around the house when she poured water on me. When I got hold of her,I lifted her up and slammed her on one of the chairs in the living room. I pinned her down on the chair and climbed on her. I made sure I touched all her body parts intentionally but I made it look unintentional. After she struggled with me with no success, she resorted to begging me
Deola: Mike ooo. Enough. Please stand up
Me: Not yet
Deola: Why?
Me: Beg me
Deola: I am sorry oo Pretty. Stand up
Me: Peck me
Deola: Hmmmm! (she did)
Me: Who is your boss?
.
Deola: u are
.
Me: Who is ur Daddy?
.
Deola: You are
.
I made sure I stayed on her a little while before I purposely moved my mouth towards hers. I stylishly kissed her but made it look like an accident,She looked into my eyes, rather seductively, touched my lips but said nothing
.
I left pinning her and sat up. She sat up too but started looking at me and smiling at the same time
.
Me: What’s funny?
.
Deola: Nothing really,I don’t know the last time I had this kind of fun
.
Me: Really? Well, I can still do some more if you want to
.
Deola: Not today again. E don do. Maybe next time ok?
.
Me: I am always available
.
Deola: Can I have a dance PM?

.
We were in that position when my phone started vibrating. I stopped the dance to see who is calling. When I checked, it was Remi, one of my side chicks. I gestured to Deola to bring down the volume of the song, which she did.
.
Me: Hey ode (I said ode because I wanted Deola to believe I was talking to a guy)
.
